The Power of Pivoting

Hello Champion:

As you pursue your ultimate goal, it is very likely that you will run into roadblocks. Whether that is a major setback, or an issue that can be solved in a matter of minutes, It’s important to keep in mind that challenges are far from uncommon when pursuing a goal.

Sometimes our hurdles can be cleared with a simple adjustment. Other times, we must look to pivot in a different direction in order to get to where we want to be.

Pivoting may be seen as a negative, however it is crucial that you have the ability to recognize when a lane is closed, and a shift must be made to continue moving forward.

Pivoting gives us the opportunity to readjust and aim for potentially a larger target.

Do you have frequent challenges that prevent optimization of your daily routine? Maybe it is time to pivot.

Whether it is a single person, or a major company, there are many examples of successful pivots that brought on positive change. You may not realize how beneficial a pivot could be to your own life until you try it yourself.

“Pivoting isn’t plan B, it’s part of the process” – Jeff Goins

Here are three tips to successfully pivot in a different direction.

  1. Identify a need for change: Have the awareness to realize that you are stalling or could use a change.

  2. Have confidence in your pivot: Although it may be scary, believe that you are making the best choice for yourself in your shift.

  3. Have an open mind: Explore all options when looking to pivot, you never know what situation may end up being best for you.

Remember, changes are part of life, and making a decision to pivot on your path may be the best thing you could do to help get there.
