Hello Champion:

One of the best feelings in the world is when we accomplish a challenge that has stood in our way for a long period of time. 

Grit. Mental toughness. Perseverance.

After this great achievement, we have two options... 

Option 1: Take a short break to mentally reset, and then attack the next goal.

Option 2: Become complacent with your success

Oftentimes, we find that people will unconsciously choose the second option. They become enamored with prior success, and the praise that comes with it. 

Becoming complacent is one of the most common mistakes that prevents a high performer from making the jump from good to GREAT. 

“Complacency is a continuous struggle that we all have to fight.” Jack Nicklaus 

Complacency leads to the following:

  • Halts your daily growth 

  • Prevents you from reaching your maximum potential

  • Inhibits your leadership ability

In order to stop ourselves from becoming complacent, we need to set new goals that are more challenging than our last set of goals. We also can benefit from creating a healthy competition with ourselves that pushes us to work harder than we did on our previous goals. Get 1% better each day, and your life will change!

CHALLENGE: We urge you to find a peer accountability partner that pushes you towards greatness. This individual will ensure that you are devoted to your ultimate goal.
